Garra-Pedicure Experience

Hiya. So on Sunday I had an Gara Rufa fish pedicure ,which if you haven't heard of before suck at the dead skin on your feet to leave them feeling softer. My mum offered to pay which was really nice of her, I was a bit worried at first but I was assured that it wouldn't hurt at all. You had to clean your feet in a foot spa before emerging them in the fish tank, for about 15 minutes. It felt really weird at the beginning and they tickled a lot between my toes, I was also told not to look at them because it freaks you out to look at something that's eating and nibbling at you! My feet definitely feel softer and fresher although it didn't remove all the skin I can tell a difference. I personally thought £10 was a tad pricey however they really did a good job and I would recommend it to anybody here's the link to the beauty treatment spa I visited SkinnyDipping.

Beauty Recipes...

Hiya. Here are a few beauty recipes I've tried and some I found and and am really interested in trying out. You can create all of them with everyday household products.

Dry Skin Face Mask
Apply a thin layer of plain yoghurt on your face and leave for around 15-30 minutes then remove with warm water and a clean face cloth, this is supposed to get rid of any dry or flaky skin.
Hair Softener + Frizz Tamer
A girl I know from school tried this and her hair was super soft you just put a small amount of olive oil on your hair then rinse thoroughly for a silky smooth finish.
Spot Treatment
Put a small amount of toothpaste on a spot, this will reduce redness making the spot easier to cover up.
Dry Shampoo
Tap talc powder into your roots of your hair and it will give your hair a fresher and cleaner look when you don't have time to wash your hair however I would only recommend this to blondes because of the fact that it can leave noticeable patchy marks which are not obvious on lighter hair.
Acne Treatment Mask
Simply whisk an egg and put it on your face then leave for about 5-10 minutes to set, this will dry out any pimples.
Eye Primer
Put together equal amounts of your everyday liquid foundation and moisturiser mix well so they both combine. It will brighten any eye shadow you are using and the colour of the primer will blend well with your other make-up.
Hair Build Up Remover
When washing your hair mix baking soda with your shampoo this simply removes any build up.
Hair Lightener
Brew chamomile tea as usual and pour it into a spray bottle then spray all over your hair and go out into the sun this will supposedly slightly lighten your hair without damaging it.

If you've tried or going try any of these let me know the results also if you have any other beauty DIY tips leave them in the comments.

Babble Babble + Katy Perry California Dreams Tour

Hiya. I wanted to this general post to let you know whats been going on in my boring life...
YAY! for the holidays, I will be spending easter weekend in Ravenscar, this little village near Whitby, with my family eating lots of chocolate. Today was the last day of term, so I went to Alton Towers with school which is all ways really good with my friends, we went on all the bigger rides and my throat is actually killing from all the screaming I did. The coach journey back was pretty disgusting some people eat too much junk and were sick YACK! Anyway yesterday me and my friends booked tickets for Katy Perry California Dreams Tour in Sheffield I'm really looking forward to all the crazy costumes, dancing and to be honest she doesn't have the best singing voice but she's entertaining (apparently the arena smells of candy floss which is pretty cool). Something else I wanted to mention was how much I'm loving Lady Gaga's new song "Judas" I heard it on Capital FM today which was the first time it had ever been played officially and I think I may have killed the replay button on youtube!

Yankee Candle Midnight Jasmine

Photobucket

Hiya. On Saturday I went to Chester with my family, and for mothers I bought my mum a Midnight Jasmine Yankee Candle. I also bought one for myself because the scent is so gorgeous I'm not really allowed candles in my room ( my mum thinks I'm going to burn the house down)but it smells amazing anyway. XOXO

Golden Eyes Spring Look

Hello. To create this everyday Golden Eye look I used:
  • Revlon Colourstay 12 Hour Quad Eyeshadow
  • No7 Amazing Eye Pencil in Brown
  • Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Blush
  • Bad Gal Mascara
  • Maybelline Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara
  • Benefit Thrrrob Blush
(Sorry for the long winded explanation)
Firstly I used the quad eyeshaw starting with the silver on the inner corner. Then adding the golden shade to the outer two thirds whilst blending them together. The bronze was then added to my crease blending upwards in an arc. Using the brown eyeliner pencil on the top and bottom lash line I created a winged effect with a touch of the darker brown/bronze to the outer edge of my eye. With my Jelly Pong Pong eyelash curlers I curled my lashes using Badgal on my upper lashes and Great Lash on the bottom lashes. To finish the look I added the thrrrob to my cheekbone and after moisturizing my lips I put the the Revlon lipstick on.

Kelly Osbourne Style Icon

Hi. I love Kelly Osbourne style recently it seamed to have changed from her gothic/grunge days to gorgeous blonde hair and glamorous outfits like the lavender chiffon dress she wore to the 2011 Grammy's paired with those incredibly beautiful Alexander McQueen shoes. I was so pleased to hear that she was replacing Taylor Momsen as the model for Madonna and daughter Lourdes Material girl line as she is definitely more classy and is a better role model for the style of the line.
Let me know your thoughts on Kelly's style...

Chunky Glitter Nails DIY

Hello. So yesterday day I decided to do a chunky glitter nail, I was a bit unsure how it would turn out but I love them here is the tutorial but there nothing too it...

All you'll need is:-
  • Craft Glitter
  • Nail Polish (I used a grey sparkle varnish)
  • Clear Varnish
  • Cling Film (optional)
  1. Apply a basecoat to your nails I used , Barry M's All In One, I wouldn't recommend this product because it takes flipping ages to dry.
  2. Then apply a couple of layer of a simple polish I used a grey one with a little shimmer in it or you could just use a plain grey or white.
  3. After that is dry get some cling film, because it can get a bit messy and empty a fair amount of your glitter out onto it.
  4. Add your clear varnish to one nail at a time .
  5. While it's still wet roll your finger in the glitter so it's all covered then SHAKE THEM! like crazy or the glitter will get every were.
  6. To finish add another layer of clear polish.

OOTD: I Jumped Off The Train Running Off The Tracks...

Dress-Miss Selfridge
Tights-Next
Brogues-Schuh

This outfit is kind of simple but I stopped my sister from selling this dress on Ebay yesterday because it's so cute and I really don't like getting rid of things. I like the open back with the cross over buttons for the summer it also has pockets which I love on dresses.

The Secret Lives Of Dresses Review

Hiya. This beautiful written book by Erin McKean is perfect for any girl who loves vintage fashion. To summarise the basic storyline Dora, is devastated when her grandma Mimi who raised her, suffers a stroke and she is left to run her magical vintage shop and uncovers secrets about her grandmother and her parents. I wouldn't say it was a chic-lit novel, because the death of her grandmother was very depressing but it did have a touch of romance and fashion that was more captivating.
Mckean also has a cute blog- www.dressaday.com

DIY:Denim Bag

Hi. I started making this bag at New Year because I'd just got my new sewing machine and was very excited to use it, so it has took me a while to finish because I had to get some matching material for the straps ( I stupidly didn't realise I had enough before I started :P). As you can tell it's made out of a denim skirt with a spotted pink cotton lining, I added a floral scarf through the belt hooks. I figgered it didn't need a inside pocket because already got four. At the moment I'm doing another craft project which I'll post about soon, it needs some finishing touches. Let me know if your making any craft projects and your thoughts on mine...
